Maryam Alshamsi is a Dubai-based Interior Design student in her final semester at Zayed University, UAE. Born and raised in the UAE, she lives and works in Dubai. Her passion for design grew from an early interest in art, painting, and visual expression. Trained in design principles, space planning, concept development, and technical representation, she works with tools including Revit, AutoCAD, SketchUp, and Adobe software.

Driven by an interest in how spaces influence human emotion, behavior, and experience, Maryam focuses on designing spaces that balance beauty with purpose, creativity with usability. Her design process involves sketching, digital modeling, and material exploration. Her senior project — Marble & Pearl — is a Private Fine Dining Grocery specializing in steak and caviar at Gate Avenue, DIFC, exploring the integration of retail and dining experiences.
